Drunk Timer
Is there a site, downloadable program [NOT A MACRO], or something that will run forever [practically, not technically] and ping a sound or something every three minutes? I don't mean a stop watch that I watch, or an alarm clock, or an oven timer, or a song, as these are all inefficient. I would ask this in Q&A but it's not asking a question about GW.

i dont know of a program like that but maybe you can use windows sound recorder.
example: record 3 minutes of blank and on the last second make a noise or something, then you could play it in windows media player with repeat on.

That would work if my mic worked. x-x Besides that, it's a great idea. Thank you.

That's rather clever.
I suppose you could use a 3 minute long song.
Although it'd be annoying listening to the same song over and over and over again.

I tried that, and I tried a playlist of several 3 minute songs. My problem was I had to pay attention to notice the song start over, or a new song start. Silence with a beep/buzz can't go unnoticed.

Use a combination of both then.
Just make sure the buzzer is real lound or real annoying so that you can recognize it when your song ends

how about one of them old fashioned timers that go DING! at the end...all you would have to do is wind it back to 3 minutes every time.
Also I do know some digital watches have a repeating count down feature that runs in a loop and setting off an alarm every time it hits zero.

Wow this used to be easy on computers in the 80's.
